Ahmed Best (born August 19, 1973) is a voice actor and musician from the United States. He first came to public attention in the 2000s as the actor who provided the voice of Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars film series. The actor subsequently transitioned to television, where he appeared in the Robot Chicken Star Wars special, reprising his role as Jar Jar Binks. In addition, he developed, wrote, directed, and produced his own television programme, This Can’t Be My Life, which aired on NBC. He has worked with filmmaker George Lucas on three films and five episodes of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, among other projects. He has been awarded the Annie Award for Best Voice Acting in an Animated Television Production for his work in this field.
