Kyle Kaepernick – Colin Kaepernick’s Brother And Sister Devon Kaepernick

Colin Kaepernick in Black & White, a Netflix limited series, dramatizes his teenage years as he rises through the ranks as a talented baseball and football player.

The show, which Colin and Ava DuVernay created, is centered on Colin Kaepernick’s journey and the events that shaped him into the activist he is today.

His adoptive parents and siblings provided him with excellent support during his career. In 1987, Rick and Teresa Kaepernick adopted Colin when he was five weeks old.

The couple and their children, Kyle and Devon, were residing in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, at the time. Rick and Teresa had already lost two kids at birth due to congenital heart problems.

Their firstborn, Kyle, preceded the deaths of Lance and Kent. The couple adopted Colin, their second child when Devon was only six years old. So here’s what we know if you’re wondering where Colin’s sister and brother might be right now!

Full name Colin Rand Kaepernick
Born November 3, 1987, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Age 34
Height 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m)
Weight 230 lb (104 kg)

Who is Colin Kaepernick’s sister: Devon Kaepernick?

Colin Kaepernick’s older sister is Devon Kaepernick. She has earned a degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, just like her other brother Kyle.

Colin, Devon, and Kyle Kaepernick’s father, Rick Kaepernick, admitted that he did not cry when Colin graduated from college in an interview with the Turlock Journal in 2011. However, he did sob when the San Francisco 49ers selected Colin.

Her father admitted that at the time, he cried when his daughter Devon received her degree from Cal Poly, as they were happy tears.

Devon currently resides in Turlock, California, and is still married with two kids, according to her Instagram. She also shared a photo in July 2015 of his son sporting a football and the same temporary tattoos Colin has on his shoulder: “Against all odds,” “Faith,” and “7.”

Likewise, she often shares pictures of her brother on her Instagram handle.

Once, she posted, “Best brother in the world!” with a photo of Colin from her wedding in November 2013. And in the same way, he celebrated his sister’s birthday by posting the same image in December 2012. “Happy birthday, Miss Divine 13 Devon, my lovely sister! The man wrote I’ll call you a liar if you tell me you have a nicer sister.

Devon hasn’t talked much about Colin on her social media. Still, she did share a poster for her brother’s Know Your Rights Camp in June 2020 to help promote the group, which aims the advance the liberation of Black and Brown people through education, self-empowerment, mass mobilization, also with the creation of new systems elevating the next generation of change leaders.

Her Instagram handle is @misdivine13, and she has shared many pictures with her family and friends.

Who is Colin Kaepernick’s brother, Kyle Kaepernick?

Colin Kaepernick’s older brother is Kyle Kaepernick. Like Devon, he received his degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Since Kyle doesn’t use social media as his sister does, little is known about him. The Sun claims that he continues to reside in California, where Devon does.

He shared his experiences of being adopted into a white family and growing up with white siblings in the 2018 VH1 show Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms.

He adored his family but was aware that he didn’t look like them. Also, he realized that he was different at a young age, though he had no idea what it meant.

As a result, it developed as he grew older. He said that my parents and my family had to develop my identity, my place in society, and my comprehension of that. But they’ve worked through it, and he continued throughout the process, they’ve always been incredibly loving. No one else, and I wouldn’t do it with them.

His father once admitted that he cried when he graduated from Cal Poly.

Kyle Kaepernick And Colin Kaepernick Age Gap

At age five weeks, Colin Kaepernick was given up for adoption by Russo and put with Rick and Teresa Kaepernick, a white couple. Kyle and Devon, the couple’s two biological children, were born.

After losing two prior boys to heart problems, the Kaepernicks decided to adopt a boy. Since Kyle is very peculiar about whom to share his details, nothing much is available about him on the internet.

So, the brothers might have somewhere around 3-4 years of age gap, although they need to confirm it once.

The choice by Colin Kaepernick to kneel during the national anthem playing in protest of racial injustice and police brutality was supported by his family the entire time.

Regarding Devon and Kyle’s current whereabouts, it appears that Devon is still parenting two children in Turlock, California. Kyle also seems to be residing in California, but other than that, little is known about the siblings’ daily activities. For most of the part, they avoided the spotlight.
